Problems Running AIM

I had just installed the new version of AIM and what happens everytime I try to run it, nothing comes up. So I opened up the task manager and according to the task manager aim is one of the processes that's running. Did anyone else come across this problem?

have you tried restarting your computer? If that doesn't work, reinstall AIM.

Tried both. Same thing happened.
