thx for responding. I think i got rid of some of the less spyware, but i still have winfixer anti spyware virus/spyware thing.

I just need to know how to get rid of them, HiJack wont delete them because they say they r in use, yet i shutdown all my programs

I'll be right back with a fix. Hijack this won't fix this. It's a difficult infection to get rid of sometimes, so just hang in there.

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.

• Double-click VundoFix.exe to extract the files
• This will create a VundoFix folder on your desktop.

Download and install CleanUp!

Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
Set the program up as follows:
Click "Options..."
Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):

• Empty Recycle Bins
• Delete Cookies
• Delete Prefetch files
• Cleanup! All Users

Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.

It may ask you to reboot at the end, click NO.

Then, please run this online virus scan: [color=red]ActiveScan

Copy the results of the ActiveScan and paste them here along with a new HiJackThis log and the vundofix.txt file from the vundofix folder into this topic.

im gona do these when i get back from work, but do u want me to disable winpatrol, spycatcher and microsoft antispyware for good or just until i finish the instructions, and by disable do u mean just ctrl+alt+delete the programs or control pannel delete them??

I am also having trouble booting up in Safe Mode. I tried both the f8 method and using msconfig. But both ended up in me seeing safe mode in all 4 corners and a black screen in the middle... is there another way to boot up in safemode that will work?

Yes.

I don't use those programs, but you should be able to disable them at start-up. Try going to start>.run>> nd typing in msconfig and unchecking them in the start-up tab. they will interfere with the fix.
