so it seems as though i have a trojan :tazz:
on my old username "William", everytime i log on it instantly switches users on me and forces me to go back to the login page of my XP and begins to "twitch?". no one else on this computer has that problem except me. when in safe mode it does not have this problem. i attempted to delete the username and create a new one, but everytime i try to delete the username, it poops out on me and says "this progam is not responding" and closes. i have no way of deleting the username ;) . i have a video of it that i can email if anyone would like to see it. ill post up an event log, and anything else i can that you request. my email is [email protected] if you want the video.

Can you make one from one of the other user accounts?

Most entries will apply to all accounts and it may give me something to go on.

The only strange thing I can see is that you have two instances of winlogon.exe running in the second log.
  • Download finditnt2000xp.zip.
  • Unzip the contents of finditnt2000xp.zip to a convenient location.
  • Navigate to the Find It NT-2K-XP folder and double-click on find.bat.
  • A command prompt will open and it will search your computer for malicious files.
  • Once it has finished a Notepad window will pop up with output.txt.
  • Copy the entire contents of output.txt into your next post.
Regards,

Pieter

OK. I officially admit that I know diddlysquat.

Can you create a new account for yourself and copy the important data in there?

You will find lots of helpful links here:
