I've recently rebuilt my pc, loaded Windows, Office, as well as my (registered) copy of Norton Firewall & Anti-Virus.
also running several spyware progs.
This pc is used by my entire family, but I'm the only one with Administrator prvileges. (If it's easier in the long run - I can delete the other users, and re-create them later once the problem is fixed)
Installed my cable modem before the Firewall & Anti-Virus, but that's when the problem started .
This (thnall1a.exe) keeps on rying to access the internet, as well as thnall1z.exe
I've run the spyware progs several times, each time it says it's been deleted, but keeps on coming back.
Since then, I've just than through your entire thread for suspected malware.
Installed and run ewido, No-Adware, Cleanup, cwshredder, ewido and trojan hunter. Phew!
Also installed some updates from the Microsoft site. SP4 rollup included.
Still getting the nasty little pop-up, every 30 mins or so.
