Hi!

Recently, a few of my games that I had installed on XP, have stopped launching when I open them. Not all....just some. I sometimes get the little timeglass icon on the games with the launch-problems, but then nothing. Even a really small game application. I have tried to re-install direct x but that doesnt seem to be it. I have the latest direct x and drivers for my graphics card.

Any ideas? Would love some help to get this fixed and can provide more info if needed!

I have completed all steps to remove adware/spyware/malware etc. My Hijack This log is below:

Which games?

Have you installed any new software lately?

Your log is clean so I'm not sure what the problem may be.

Where you able to run the programs before?

Pirates of the Caribbean
Continuum
The Hobbit

Those are the main ones I can think of that are not working. Others seem to work fine still. I could launch the above about a month ago, but since they have just stopped launching and all at the same time.

Rcently installed software is probably the problem - although im not sure how to track down the software causing problems?

Yep. Several times. Same problems. I thought it might be a missing system file which certain games need to run? Is that possible?
