:) Alright, starting a few days ago, whenever I click on Internet Explorer, the window pops up, and the page (HOMEPAGE) either doesnt load (gives me a 'page cannot be displayed' or takes a good 4 to 5 minutes. When I try to go somewhere else ie: Geektogo.com, it is the same deal, doesnt load or takes forever. I went through your entire process, ran the Winsock, cleanup, Ad-aware, CWshedder, Spybot, I used Notron, Trend housecall wouldnt load, did the Trojan hunter. When I try to get the Windows update I get to the install updates part and it freezes. My computer seems to be getting worse, downlaod times take so long they time out, I have to consently refresh pages to get them (like this one). I am not having problems with anything else other then the internet. Pppppllleeease help! :tazz:

Please go HERE (Microsoft website) using Internet Explorer (not Firefox or any other browser as they won't work)
  • Click on Windows Validation Assistant
  • Click on the Validate Now button.
  • Be patient while the ActiveX loads, do not click on any links.
  • Read the instructions on this page while it's loading. You will be prompted to install - click YES.
  • Enter your product key then click continue
  • When it says "Validation Complete" please click Continue to return to your previous activity
  • Copy what it says and paste it here.

Thank you for your reply. While I was wating the past few days, I was able to get my computer up and running again, I disabled my internet connection, ran all the programs again that i downloaded from your site and re-started the computer in the last known good configuration. I then enabled my connection and it seems to be running fine now, with the exeption of having the ability to download any updates from microsoft. I followed your steps, and this is what I recieved:

Windows appears to be pre-installed on your machine by the manufacturer. In order to verify that your Windows installation is properly licensed, please continue to the Windows Genuine Advantage program.

Windows Genuine Advantage validation is an easy one-time process that is designed to validate individual product keys.
