I have an older Compaq Armada. Sometimes the screen will sort of flash a time or two then just go white. It seems to make no difference whether laptop has been in use for a while or whether it's cold. Jarring the laptop doesn't cause problem either. Is this a problem with the screen itself or maybe a memory problem?

maybe the screen maybe memory....but i would try updating the video drivers first..
