I'm having a problem with music videos & just audio playing in Internet Explorer & FireFox (so I hope I don't get that response, "get firefox"). In both browsers it looks like the above picture. Everything worked fine until I got Windows Media Player 10 (which now i cant downgrade, and I tryed rolling back).

Is there any way to make them play in the browser like they usually do? Windows Media Player works fine when I load a saved file. I'm thinking I'm maybe missing a plug-in?

It does that to me too, I just think it's the website, when you scroll up and down or when you try to adjust the volume from the WMP on IE. I think its just a problem to all of us.

It's not any of that.
-It's every website with music videos
-Launch (Yahoo! Music) tells me I don't have WMP
-I don't scroll to see anything
-I dont adjust the volume

ive got the exact same problem..ive rolled back wmp 10 to 9 and tried just manually deleting the folder from progfiles but so far got no love..

i think the fact im running a stripped down version of xp pro might have something to do with it. my lappy doesnt have this problem.

if anyone knows what files or services to add or enable please help!!1

any input is good but id much rather add or enable a file or service than reformat with the full version... the stripped versions benifits outweigh this annoyence but if possible id like the best of both worlds

suxors...i use to like my embedded wmp...some sites dont give you the option to dl and watch offline

Found a solution to your problem :-D

The problem is in the registry part controlling the media player active x component

make a reg file containing this

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

and import it into your registry if you cannot do that. Then change the permissions for
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{22D6F304-B0F6-11D0-94AB-0080C74C7E95}
