Two problems re: email URL links and “no file association” problems cropped up at the same time: 1) the URL links in all websites are dead. Nothing happens when I click on them to get to the site. 2) I can’t use my web desktop shortcuts; I get the message: “This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel.” I gone into Folder Options and have tried to create associations; unfortunately, the light bulb hasn’t come on yet – not sure I know what I’m supposed to do in Folder Options. I have to copy the link (if there is a full URL in the website) and paste it into IntExl; if there is no full net address, I have to go to the actual site. I’d appreciate any help and guidance. ec

Welcome To Geeks To Go ecamner!

Sound like some malware might have messed things up for you. To try to Fix that read This and then post in the Malware Forum. If after cleaning up your computer you still have this problem come back here and I will help you.
