Was wondering how hosts who allow you to host multiple domains in one account configure things. I realise they have them with the set-up www.domainnameone.com/domainnametwo/ but how is it done technically?

Have there been problems with domains being hosted in this manner?

Finally, what do the search engine bots make of it?

Is it better to have separate hosting accounts for each domain so that any inlinking between our sites is not penalised?
