Max Payne 2 wont play

Hi , i got max payne 2 the fall of max payne for pc and when i click on play it says: Max Payne 2 Requires a DirectX 9.0 compatible display driver'. and i have Directx 9.0c so what could be wrong i have even updated drivers for my graphics my graphics card is an Nvidia GeForce FX5200 128MB any ideas :tazz:

Have you tried updating the drivers for the sound card and motheboard chipset?
Have you tried re-installing DirectX?

ZEUS whats sound got to do with DirectX ? and i have tryed reinstalling the DirectX and still no difference im going to try system Restore

Directx is also used for sound.
The error appears to be graphics card related but it's not forced to be that. Other things can cause the error and they say that on their website.
You could try using drivercleaner to remove your graphics card driver amd then install the driver again.

Hey Zeus problem solved i downloaded the patch and now it works thanks for suggesting the Driver cleanup that helped thanks anyway
