I reformated and reinstalled my system 30 days ago. I put off my windows activation until 29 days into the 30 days allowed. The SECOND I activated windows I recieved tons of errors for Zone Alarm. All .dll fatal errors. That I can live with because it seems the lesser of the two problems. The main problem is that my computer can't establish an IP address anymore. My cable modem works fine. I've unplugged it, reset it, everything on that end. It's hardwired into my system so it's not a routing issue. It HAS to be the activation. The problem literally starting within seconds. Anyone here ever run across this? I don't want to reinstall again.

[bleep], you guys are quick. Won't let me uninstall. I tried with Zone Alarms uninstall and the ADD/REMOVE Programs. Do you think the IP renewal is really a Zone Alarm issue? I had assumed the two were unrelated.

I think they may well be related. zonealarm, like all firewalls, gives access control to programs. it may be blocking your internet connection. and you said you were getting zonealarm errors so there's something going on there. It may not be the solution, but it's a starting point.

does it come up with an error when you try to uninstall it?
