Winfixer annoyance....
this was after an aim troj root kit exploition and i believe that was lqfixed a while ago. lockx.exe as the backdoor and pokapoka70.exe as the ETB windows folder drop. but i think thats been taken care of.

As for my winfixer issue, im assuming its C:\WINNT\system32\khfed.dll and
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {00DBDAC8-4691-4797-8E6A-7C6AB89BC441} - C:\WINNT\system32\efebx.dll as it shows that its a browser helper object but i wanted to make sure. Heres the HJT Log.

Welcome to GTG.

Please make sure that TeaTimer is not running (turn it off) before you do any of the fixes below...

Please make sure that Word Wrap is turned OFF in Notepad before you post your HijackThis log next time. As you can see, the formatting it creates (see the log you posted) makes it harder for us to read it.

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should 'not' have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Go to Start->Run and type in notepad and hit OK. Then copy and paste the following into Notepad:

sc stop r_server
sc delete r_server
del delete.bat

Save the file as "delete.bat". Make sure to save it with the quotes. Double click on it.

Please download VundoFix.exe at http://www.atribune....ds/VundoFix.exe to your desktop.

* Double-click VundoFix.exe to extract the files.
* After the files are extracted, please reboot your computer into Safe Mode. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key (or F5 in some machines) until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode then hit enter.
* Once in safe mode open the VundoFix folder and doubleclick on KillVundo.bat
* Please type the following file path (make sure to enter it exactly as below!):

C:\WINNT\system32\khfed.dll

* Press Enter, then press the F6 key, then press Enter one more time to continue with the fix.
* When asked for a second path, enter -> C:\WINNT\system32\defhk.*
* Press Enter, then press the F6 key, then press Enter one more time to continue with the fix.
* The fix will run then HijackThis will open.
* In HijackThis, please place a check next to the following items and click FIX CHECKED:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {00DBDAC8-4691-4797-8E6A-7C6AB89BC441} - C:\WINNT\system32\efebx.dll
O2 - BHO: MSEvents Object - {6DD0BC06-4719-4BA3-BEBC-FBAE6A448152} - C:\WINNT\system32\khfed.dll
O20 - Winlogon Notify: efebx - C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\efebx.dll
O20 - Winlogon Notify: khfed - C:\WINNT\system32\khfed.dll
O23 - Service: CWShredder Service - Unknown owner - C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\852JOX2Z\cwshredder[1].exe (file missing)
O23 - Service: Remote Administrator Service (r_server) - Unknown owner - C:\WINNT\system32\r_server.exe" /service (file missing)

Delete these if found:

C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\efebx.dll
C:\WINNT\system32\khfed.dll
C:\WINNT\system32\r_server.exe

* After you have fixed these items, close Hijackthis and Press any key to Force a reboot of your computer.
* Pressing any key will cause a 'Blue Screen of Death' this is normal, do not worry!
* Once your machine reboots please continue with the instructions below.

Download and install CleanUp! http://www.greyknigh...spy/CleanUp.exe

Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
Set the program up as follows:
Click 'Options...'
Move the arrow down to 'Custom CleanUp!'
Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):

* Empty Recycle Bins
* Delete Cookies
* Delete Prefetch files
* Cleanup! All Users

Click OK. Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.
It may ask you to reboot at the end, click NO.

Then, please run an online virus scan at ActiveScan http://www.pandasoft.../activescan.htm

Copy the results of the ActiveScan and paste them here along with a new HijackThis log and the vundofix.txt file from the vundofix folder into this topic.

I use radmin. Its not ran by a remote source so its coo. The service is always stopped untill someone needs assistance or however I decide to use it...thanks for the help. I figured it would be those two dll files. Seems as though these filenames are created randomly. I have gotten the vundofix from another post, and took a look at the bat in notepad. I wasnt sure if the batch file was created only for certain filenames to be del. or not. Active scan tells me i got four infections. I clicked the 'Disinfection advice' button, and my god it gave me some GREAT advice heh. :tazz:)
*ehm* no. It would be nice to have though, so i could rid it myself.
Looks as though i need to run the vundo on efebx.dll and possibly a couple others.
Ill leave those to you to decide.
The jolt2 directory, disregaurd that, i own it. Nothing going outbound.
Anyways, enough of that...here comes the good stuff :)

Do you know what this is for?

C:\jolt2\iiStorm2.zip

If it's good to keep, leave it alone...otherwise, delete it.

Download KillBox http://www.greyknigh...spy/KillBox.exe. Run KillBox and check the box that says 'End Explorer Shell While Killing File'. Next click on 'Delete on Reboot'. Copy the below files and go back to KillBox. Go to File->Paste from Clipboard and then hit the button with a red circle and white X. Confirm to delete and when asked if you want to reboot, say Yes:

C:\WINNT\system32\wvwvv.dll
C:\WINNT\system32\khhii.dll
C:\WINNT\system32\efebx.dll
C:\WINNT\system32\winupdt.008

If you get a PendingOperations message, just close it and restart your computer manually.

Restart and run a new Panda scan. Post that log here along with a new HijackThis log.

Yes its an IIS exploit. I grabbed it from either PacketS. or elsewhere long time ago, cant remember but its been in that directory forever, and hasnt stired any problems for me. I was going to burn it to a multisession disc and test it upon a separate machine in the house. Nothing to worry about.
Everythings gone. Again, thanks for helping me determine those files :tazz:

Nothing found by Panda? Please give me at least the HijackThis log so I can give it a final look before closing this topic.

Go to Start->Run and type in services.msc and hit OK. Then look for AutoComplete Service (Autocomplete) and double click on it. Click on the Stop button and under Startup type, choose Disabled. Do the same thing for Remote Administrator Service (r_server).

Go to Start->Run and type in notepad and hit OK. Then copy and paste the following into Notepad:

sc stop Autocomplete
sc delete Autocomplete
sc stop r_server
sc delete r_server
del delete.bat

Save the file as "delete.bat". Make sure to save it with the quotes. Double click on it.

Go into HijackThis->Config->Misc Tools->Delete an NT service and type in r_server and hit OK. Do the same thing for Autocomplete.

Check and fix these in HijackThis if found:

O23 - Service: AutoComplete Service (Autocomplete) - Unknown owner - C:\Program Files\Acesoft\Tracks Eraser Pro\autocomp.exe (file missing)
O23 - Service: Remote Administrator Service (r_server) - Unknown owner - C:\WINNT\system32\r_server.exe" /service (file missing)

Restart and see if the above O23 entries still return. If not, then:

Your log is clean.

Are there any problems now? If not, you should be set to go.
