I successfully loaded McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.0.0 , however I received the following message when attempting to download the first definition update, “Error occurred while downloading Sitestat.xml unable to find valid repository”

I have already done the obvious i.e. uninstall and reinstall in safe mode; uninstall safe mode and reinstall in standard windows mode…still busted!

McAfee knowledge base is no help.

Would appreciate any input!

What repository is it using?
Does it update if you manually download the superdat?
Have you installed the latest patch for Mcafee 8?

Hello. I am having this exact same Issue. I do not know how to check where the repository is, any help?
I Ran the SuperDAT file and it succeded in updating the antivirus. But it still cannot automatically update.
