installing windows XP from DOS

I am trying to install Windows XP from DOS I keep getting the Error message can't run progam from DOS "of course" so now what ? I have to install an operating system.....HELP PLEASE

You can install from cd .On boot-up have the xp cd in the cd rom drive, then on the black screen it should say "press any key to boot from cd" hit the spacebar and it should begin the install.
