# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual

when i unplugges the power cord, I didn't unplug the internet cable. would that have made a difference? also, i couldn't save the files to my desktop. it wouldn't let me paste them, so I typed them in killbox 1 at a time.

Well crap! :tazz:

Like I said, this is my upmost priority!

Lets look deep inside there and see what else I can see

Download WinPFind:
http://www.bleepingc...es/winpfind.php

Right Click the Zip Folder and Select "Extract All"

From the WinPFind folder-> Doubleclick WinPFind.exe and Click "Start Scan"

It will scan the entire System, so please be patient!

One you see "Scan Complete"-> a log (WinPFind.txt) will be automatically generated in the WinPFind folder!

Post the results of the scan in the next reply!

If the scan take anymore than 15 to 20 minutes, abort and post back!

When you killed smss.exe with Killbox, did you get any errors or refusals?

WARNING: not all files found by this scanner are bad. Consult with a knowledgable person before proceeding.

If you see a message in the titlebar saying "Not responding..." you can ignore it. Windows somethimes displays this message due to the high volume of disk I/O. As long as the hard disk light is flashing, the program is still working properly.

Lets try my previous fix again and I am going to add in a thing or 2!

Attached is a text file you can use to copy the files to Killbox!

Open HijackThis and put a check by these but DO NOT hit the Fix Checked button yet!

O2 - BHO: MSEvents Object - {827DC836-DD9F-4A68-A602-5812EB50A834} - C:\WINDOWS\repair\expdvd.dll

O20 - Winlogon Notify: expdvd - C:\WINDOWS\repair\expdvd.dll

Now Make sure ALL WINDOWS and BROWSERS are CLOSED and hit the Fix Checked Button!

Now,double click on ClrVun.reg and allow it to merge into the registry!

Make sure all Windows and Browsers are Closed and Open the Pocket KillBox and the Notepad page of files to be deleted!

Highlight the list of files and press Ctrl+C to Copy

Close the Notepad page!

Go to Killbox and Click File-> Paste from Clipboard

Place a tick by these 3 selections

"Delete on Reboot"
"End Explorer Shell while Killing File"
"Unregister .dll before Deleting"

Click "YES" to Confirm deletion

Click "NO" to Reboot

Still in Killbox go to the box with [System Process] and click the Down Arrow

Click on iexplore.exe once and Click the Yellow triangle with the ! in the middle

Click on smss.exe once and Click the Yellow triangle with the ! in the middle

Now click on winlogon.exe once and Click the Yellow triangle with the ! in the middle

Now click on explorer.exe once and Click the Yellow triangle with the ! in the middle

Next, literally unplug the PC from its power source to force the machine to shut down!

Plug the power source back up and Restart the PC!

Once booted back up-> Double Click on ClrVundo.reg again to ensure all the registry entries were deleted!

Scan with HijackThis and post the results!

I guess you will have to type them in as before or Highlight the list and right click and select Copy

Then go to Killbox and click File-> Paste from Clipboard

Try it that way before you go to the trouble of typing them all in!
