Upgrade graphics card memory?

I've got a 128MB GeForce FX 5700 Ultra. I would like to know whether it is possible to upgrade the memory of my graphics card. I've seen companies offering the same graphics card with 256MB memory so that's why i figured you should be able to upgrade the memory.

Almost always not going to be possible.

And even if you could, I wouldn't be surprised if it works out cheaper anyway just to have a new card.
