Windows No Disk error message There is no disk

I keep getting this pop-up warning box (see attachment "noDisk.kpg")saying "Windows - No Disk" "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive ." It was happening whenever I rebooted, but after running all this board's recommended utilities (Ad-aware, CWShredder, spybot, Trend housecall, Windows update), now I still get it when I open programs (such as Ad-aware or WinPatrol).

It may be pertinent that I have just installed a new (60GB Seagate) harddrive and this problem was resident in my old (8GB) hard drive also. After attempting to start from scratch with the new HD, I found that reloading Windows, and the Verizon (internet) CD seemed to add even more problems. So I used the Seagate HD copy utility Discwizard to restore my old configuration to the new HD.
