Hi! my OS is winxp sp2[updated].Recently I witnessed a very unusual event. I have set my monitor to turn itself off after 1 min of inactivity.Normally to resume,I have to enter my password[I am in a multi user environment, where I belong to the group of administrators] at the welcome screen. But this time I was greeted with a message saying that the computer has been locked out and only me,or the administrator[which is me again],or someone else who belongs to this elite group could unlock. When I entered my password it didn't recognise it!!!!! It accepted my built in administrator password and cautioned about other users being on line and how they would lose their unsaved work,blah'blah....I restarted my comp. And surprise!! it accepted my password that it had rejected before the shutdown. What the...! I am bloody confused,it has never happened before, and mercifully hasn't occured since.
