monitor problems

I am not sure if anyone here can help me or not but if so I would really appreciate it. When I open photoshop CS I get a message stating " The Monitor profile Gateway VX930 Gamma: 2.2 temp. 6500 appears to be defective. Please rerun your monitor calibration software." I am not sure what this means can someone please help me I am assuming it means my color settings are off but how would I know and how can I fix it?
