I have 4 slots my computer is a P5GD1-VM and it goes like this

BLUE BLACK BLUE BLACK
512/400mhz 256mb/ddr/400mhz 512mb/ddr/400mhz 256mb/ddr/400mhz

Now the thing is the 512x2 memory is showing double banked when the 256x2 arent showing they are both the same as like the 512x2 are the same and they are showing double banked now if this is not working what am i doing wrong, and if i am doing this right and my computer wont support it but im sure it does if u go to www.asus.com and look it will say so if it isnt possible would it be wiser to take the 256x2 out for this case i got one more 512mb/400mhz ram so that would make 3 would that be much more better i need help answering these questions.

Hi. The best guidance for this would by your motherboard users manual. If you don't have one, you can go to the manufacturer's web page and dowload one.
