I am 40. I have two kids of my own, 3 stepkids by my current husband, 3 steps by my late husband and 4 step grandchildren. This kid situation has caused a great deal of gray hair, sleepless nights and depleted bank account balances, but I wouldn't trade 'em for the world.

Oh my goodness....most of you here are SO YOUNG.
(Except office guru and wannabe1) :)

I have grandchildren that are 18 and a daughter that is 40. aarrgghh.

I am 59 and will be 60 ~EEK~ on January 1.

This picture was taken this summer in my Elephant Ear garden by the barn.
I live in the country and have lots and lots of flowers until winter when it freezes them all.

But then beautiful wonderful SPRING comes. :tazz:

I really enjoy the Internet; even give beginner computer lessons.

The great thing about being my age is that people acquire the wisdom that only comes from experience, and the body hasn't completely given out yet... Of course, judging from the aches and pains when I get out of bed in the morning, this time in the sun isn't gonna last long. :tazz:

I'm old enough to have programmed on acoustically coupled teletype machines, and to have struggled with 3 day turnaround times with batch Hollerith cards on old Fortran mainframes.

For you youngsters out there that means you submitted your deck of Hollerith programming cards to the priests of the mainframe, and 3 days later you would get your deck back with a short note saying " It didnt run". No output, no debugging, nothing, nada. After a couple of those runs, you learned to liberally sprinkle your code with print statements so you could at least have an idea of where to begin searching for the problem.

I also used to tweak and tune my slide rules, but thats another story. :tazz:

When I remember how old I am, I might tell you, but by that time I wont remember where to ......

Best regards,

EMCguy
