Please help! if possible. I have Trojan.Vundo on my dell...Windows XP. Norton pops up to say I have a virus. Something about C:\Windows\System32\awvtt.dll. I don't know a lot about computers, but I'm learning really quick. I've read the forums on this and I have followed the instructions as far as scanning with ewido,cleanup,ad-aware, AVG, spybot,TrojanHunter, FixVundo, CWShredder, WinsockXPFix, etc. I can follow directions well enough if anybody can explain how to clean this bleepin' virus off my computer. Some of the scans reported finding nothing. CleanUp said there was a cookie. ewido got rid of 25 corrupt files. the online scan found nothing. TrojanHunter found nothing. FixVundo found nothing. I have a hijackthis scan from notebook and I cut and pasted as follows:

Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1

Hi taps
Welcome to Geeks to go

Please print these instructions out for use in Safe Mode.

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to extract the files
  • This will create a VundoFix folder on your desktop.
  • After the files are extracted, please reboot your computer into Safe Mode. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode then hit enter.
  • Once in safe mode open the VundoFix folder and doubleclick on KillVundo.bat
  • You will first be presented with a warning.
    It should look like this

By using VundoFix you agree that you are doing so at your own risk
    Press enter to continue....

  • At this point press enter one time.
  • Next you will see:

Type in the filepath as instructed by the forum staff
