It's not really a big deal, but the pips are no longer the hats with propellers. Pips are pips, and post counts = squat, but it was something that set GTG apart from other tech forums.

Top 10 posters will be removed, and the prop-beanie pips have been replaced. However, I'm not sure if they'll make it into the new skin.

Well pips are very small, and I think all that animation would get old quickly. Beanies were selected because they scaled down nicely, and because of their universal geekyness. Even though we're not that kind of geek, I think it's okay to poke fun at it. :tazz:

There is a version 2.1.2 that takes care of many issues, but I'm waiting a few days to be sure there isn't going to be a 2.1.3 before upgrading again. :tazz:

does the 2.1.2 version have the confetti driver? (the one that makes confetti shoot out of your cd-rom drive when you solve a problem?)

I think we'll have to develop that as a mod. :tazz:

Ever since the upgrade, I'm having a problem connecting to Live Chat. I get this error:

Unable to connect : java.net.NoRouteToHostException : Operation timed out

What's up with that?
