Alright, I tried following another topic posting on here to fix my own problems.. that was a bad idea.. I went through the steps to see if I could rid my computer of the search extender and the cool virus. When I go into Regular startup now, it takes almost 4 minutes to get to my desktop from the time it says windows is starting.. this is a newer Dell unit with Windows Xp media center. When I come in, the fan kicks on hard and I go into the Task Manager to see 50% of the processes are coming from an exe called notifyalert.. I cannot connect to the internet on that computer to report my hijack this file.. is there anything I can do?
Thanks for any and all help

:tazz: Well... the notifyalert.exe even comes up in diagnostic startup mode. I am unable to connect to the internet still as no programs load as I start up. My wireless card is connected and says it is working fine, but firefox cannot find any websites. I also cannot uninstall programs, due to the fact that message keep popping up saying not enough memory available... please help at least get me back online so I can post a HJT log
