My friend and I have started a little software company. I am in charge of programming, and I was wondering: I wanted to start with something simple, like a word processor. What programming language would be the best for this? And what language would be the easiest? Thanks.

C++, it's not as easy as some other languages such as Pascal but there is a lot of help for people that want to learn it as it's very popular.

But don't expect to be making software like word processors any time soon, once you have learned C++ then you will need to learn how to make a GUI and such, all that will at least take 3 months.

Best of luck
