Hello,

I searched a bit, but can't find anything quite like this.

We recently purchased a Dell laptop with intel pro wireless network card. It is working pretty well, a few bugs we'll discuss later... Also a Linksys wireless G w/speedbooster router for our desktop PC, and a Linksys wireless receiver for our son's pc. The router is hardconnected to the modem and the desktop pc, son's computer and the laptop are wireless. That is for later.

For now... The main desktop pc cannot be used. I attempted to network the three computers for printer and filesharing, and tried to set up a virtual private network. Now when I boot up the computer, it loads windows and asks for a password into the VPN, trying to connect to itself. I did not put in a password. *BONK* So it doesn't like me, will not allow me to log in, and it does not have any other programs loaded so I can't get around it to disable VPN.

If I try to enter safe mode it asks for the login, too.

I am running Windows 2000, and I do not have the cd - it was a garage sale computer....

Help....
