Well....

I went from good to bad in about five minutes. I was working on fixing my P2P.Alcan worm, via some instructions on a past post, and I think I managed to delete a file that I wasn't supposed to. I was in safe mode at the time of the deletion. I rebooted and now my computer continues to restart. It loads the Memory info and gets to the bios page, and then I see a flash of the beginning of the POST, but then it restarts. It won't let me boot into safe mode. I attempted to stick my XP cd in and try a repair, but when I hit a key to boot to cd, it gives me a black screen with a bunch of stuff I don't understand. It says EXPECTION at the top and a bunch of other stuff below that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

IDE CD ROM Device or some thing smiler?
Press the number next to that.

What key are you pressing to get this? Can you please press F2 or DEL when booting to enter the BIOS and change the booting order so the computer tries to boot form the CD instead of the Hard drive? There should be some entry in the BISO called some thing like "Boot Sequence".
