I am experiencing a similar problem as user: rihmjh, posted on 8-Jan-2005.

When I do google searches or go to similar websites an ad-ware window pops up with similar products to my search.

I used to get a bad rundll32.exe prompt when logging in. Ad-Aware found guard.tmp in my windows/system32 dir, but was not able to delete it. I ran HiJackThis once and deleted
R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497} - (no file)

This got rid of the rundll error message on bootup, but the search Adware is still present. Also, I have two rundll32.exe running in my task manager.

Below is my HijackThis log.

Thanks for your help.
