I have run this file through google and the only place that I could find mention of it was on this site. I seems to work in conjunction with another file called mswind32.exe. I have tried spybot and adaware.

My initial question is why was the thread locked that mentioned it?

I have searched the forum but can find no other reference to windrvrs.exe.

I hope someone can find the OP thread so I know where to continue. As for that I am just starting on the problem. I only dropped my guard for a couple of minutes. I won't be doing that again. I may need future help. Thank goodness you folks are here. I don't look forward to a reformat if I can just fix what I have now. Win XP SP1
