system restore

I had an virus mess up my computer so I tried to do a system restore and it I selected the day then it reboots and it replies and couldn't restore to that date t ,I tried a different date and it happen again
and again .Can somebody please help me fix the system restore problem or have any ideas :tazz:

Do you still have the virus, or is it just windows messing up after the virus is removed.

In that case I would recommend Repair Install of XP, This should fix what ever damage removing the virus has caused.
