Hi there -

I have been getting warnings from Norton Internet Security that I am being attacked by TransScout trojan.

I am currently working through to get a HijackThis logfile - but if anyone out there has come accross TransScout please reply.

Thanks

Hello and Welcome to Geekstogo Forums

If you have not already installed Ad-Aware SE 1.06, please download and install AdAware SE 1.06.
Check Here on how setup and use it - please make sure you update it first.
And perform a scan, make sure you delete all the items in red

Restart your computer now.

If you have not already installed Spybot S&D 1.4
Download Spybot S&D, make sure you update it, and then perform a full scan, make sure you delete every item found.

Restart your computer now.

After your computer has restarted, Scan with hijack this and post your log here.

If you have already performed a full scan with these two programs, please tell me so

Please also do the following to see which programs need to be removed
  • Open HiJackThis
  • Click on the configure button on the bottom right
  • Click on the tab "Open the Misc Tools Session"
  • Click on the Box that says "Uninstall Manager"
  • Click on the button "Save list"
  • Copy and past the List onto your post
