This seems a good place to put this topic.
I bought the CounterStrike1 Anthology a couple of days ago and placed the CD in the drive when I got hope in hope of the game installing properly. Basically I the CD icon appeared next to the cursor but then stopped.

So I went to 'My Computer' and clicked there but nothing was found on the CD at all, not even the icon, it just showed a blank CD tray.

I tried numerous times opening and closing the CD tray and then rebooting the computer. The CD looked scratched after a look and I took it back. I got a replacement and it just doesnt recognize it again. I downloaded Steam so im sure its not that.

Please help.

Hello Yppolitia!

Sounds like a problem with the CD drive.

Have you got another CD/DVD drive on your PC that you can try?
Does the CD work in another PC?

You need to find out the make and model of the CD drive.
The make and model will be printed on a sticker on the top of the drive.
Post it and we'll see if we can find you an update.

Your best bet is to open the PC and look on the label.
