my pc runs rather well after doin reguarly virus/spyware scans, defrags, registry scanns, and generally keep system processes to a minimum, but there are still a few things that screw up. to mention a few
#windows never shuts down fully, gets to blue screen then stays on, (yet will shut down after running in safe mode)
#all microsoft applications dont recognise i have a cd-rw drive yet itunes does and works fine
#edit something in windows media player and it either crashes or goes unresponsive for a while

is there a good pc/windows fixer anyone can recomend. i have altered a lot of system processes and im sure one has come corrupt or damaged over time, none of these problems are seriuos just bloody annoying!!!!

Hi tuscan440!

#windows never shuts down fully, gets to blue screen then stays on, (yet will shut down after running in safe mode)
#all microsoft applications dont recognise i have a cd-rw drive yet itunes does and works fine

Try going into the DEVICE MANAGER and disabling your CD-RW and then try and shutdown your computer and see if that takes care of the no-shutdown problem.

What is the exact error message that you receive when you get the BSOD?

dont kno exactly i didnt write it down, but i kno they are not the same each time it does crash, it did it loads when i was installin xp pro a while back, hoping that would ammend the shuting down fault, it didnt but during installation had loads of bsod, they were all different and think the cd-rw problem may have stemmed from that.
