PLEASEEE HELP! computer wont boot

Hi,
After cleaning the registry using a reg cleaning software and pressing the reboot button the computer wont start up,
says :

Invalid setting in MSDOS.SYS file :some hiberish@#$%^}
starting......


MS XP 2005.......

A:\>



and doesnt boot......

Your help would be greatly appreciated,as i need that computer very urgently.

Hi poppys!

You don't by chance have a floppy disk in the floppy drive do you?

IT happens because your computer is set to boot to the floppy drive as the first boot device. You had a bootable floppy with a damaged OS on it (or maybe a setup routine).

PCs are set up this way by default so you can load an OS on them.
