Hi,

I just updated to the newest version of Itunes and I keep getting the following message when I try to start Itunes:

QuickTime failed to initialize (error -2093)
QuickTime is required to run Itunes. Please reinstall itunes.

When I reinstall the program I get an error at the end of the install saying there was a problem installing QuickTime. I am on Windows XP home. itunes has worked fine for me since May but this latest update is the problem.

Thanks!

Hello,

Have you downloaded/installed the official Quicktime from Apple or are you using Quicktime Alternative? I have other users having problems with Quicktime combined with the Quicktime Alternative codecs.

Cheers,
Tom

Hi,

I have downloaded QuickTime from Apple's official site separately and with Itunes. I never had any other type of QuickTime.

Thanks!
