ive been using avg free and its been very helpful. why does a trojan se.dll still keep popping out
despite the fact the avg has detected and deleted numerous times already.

how can i finally get rid of it?

Run all the programmes as advised then post a current Hijack This Log in a new topic in the Malware Forum

Some few months back I had the same problem. I merely followed the instructions as outlined under GTG "Do you suspect a malware(Spyware, Virus,Trojan) using not only AVG but other programs .
