Somehow I've lost my "Desktop Icon" from the Quicklaunch toolbar. Do you know how I can get it back.

As of now, I have to minimize everything to be able to see my Desktop so I can start something else.

Thanks

Hi Jktii

When you say the desktop icon is gone, is it gone or have you installed any additional software that could have bumped it onto the "hidden" list. There should be double arrows beside your icons, if you click that the list expands, does it show up there, if it does, you can left click on it, hold that click, and drag it so that it shows up again on the main taskbar.

If all else fails, hold down the Window key, press M and all windows will be minimized.... :tazz:

Spank,

Thanks for your reply! My problem was that it was gone.. no where to found, anywhere.

I checked some other places and found the following info that fixed the problem which I'd like to pass on:
--------------------------------------------
If the Show Desktop icon is deleted from Quick Launch, the procedure below will recreate the file.

Open Notepad and enter the following text:

[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

Save the new file as Show Desktop.scf then drag and drop the icon on the Quick Launch bar or whatever location you want the shortcut to appear.

Another thing you might wanna consider is the windows key + D. Anytime you wanna get to the desktop, that'll take you there so the icon may turn out to be more than you need.
