Norton finds four Trojans that I can’t get rid of. Trojan.Alemod, Trojan.Vundo.B, Trojan Desktop Hijacke, and Trojan.Crypt.O. I found a tool online by Symantec to get rid of the Vundo B one by turning off system restore, going into safe mode and running the tool, but even in safemode the prfygh.exe file could not be deleted.
. I went through your required steps before posting a Hijackthis log with the following results:
- Ran Cleanup successfully
- Ran Ad-aware SE successfully (found and removed 10 items)
- CWShredder ran successfully (nothing found).
- Spoybot S&D found 98 problems. It removed all but one – Smitfraud.C with 19 entries. I got an error message that said “Some problems couldn’t be fixed; the reason could be that the associated files are still in use (in memory). This could be fixed after a restart.” But even restarting, it won’t delete it.
- Ewido Security suite cleaned 51 objects, but Trojan.Crypt.O still pops-up upon restarting every time.
- Trend Housecall had three items that were not cleanable: Troj Agent.ce, Troj NDware.B, and Troj DLoader.xw
- Completed Windows Update.
- Rebooted.

I believe the problem is that we use a wireless internet signal that is used for our whole apartment complex without appropriate firewall, etc. I would like to get it cleaned up, and then protect it for the future.
