i recently moved my computer and after reassembly i have no video output. i suspect that i have loosened the onboard conection or broken a pin on the board. the system came with an integrated rage lt pro chipset. i am asking if it is possible to override the onboard video with a pci card as i cannot see the setup screen and am not able to manipulate the bios.

Welcome LINKUP19GS <_<

On most modern systems simply connecting a PCI video card will disable the onboard video. Does this answer your question?
