i have a sony vaio pcvrx660 and i was wondering how i can make it better..

it has a pentium 4 (1.8GHz) and i have maxed out the RAM at a GB

My question is i can't find out what kind of socket type it has, and even if i knew could i put a faster processor in it, or can't I i guess i could buy a new MOBO too but then i would spend a butt-load more on Ram as well, and if i replace the moterboard and keep the hard drive and everything else would those work with it or would i have to reinstall a bunch of stuff. i need help sick of this lagging piece of crap!!!

Hi. An easy way to find out about possible upgrades for your compuer is to go to http://www.powerleap.com/PL-iP3T.jsp and run their configurator. It will tell you about your system and possible upgrades available. You could also run Belarc Advisor or Everest to find out about the specifics of your system, or even contact Sony to find out about possible upgrades.
