Below please find the log file from Hijackthis. Your assistance in identifying the steps I need to take to remove Winfixer would be appreciated.

Prior to running Hijackthis, I ran the following antivirus, anti-spyware/adware software (all following updates to data files, as applicable):

Kaspersky anti-virus
Ad-aware SE
Spybot S&D
CW Shredder
TrojanHunter

One or two threats were discovered in this process and removed. However, Winfixer is tenacious and has not been gotten rid of.

When I load IE, Ewido pops up to warn me about a a file <awvwv.dll>. I removed this file but something is lurking on my system which recreates it when I start up the computer. I believe this file (perhaps among others) is directly related to Winfixer.

Thank you in advance for your help.

I believe I may have resolved this problem. At the suggestion of microsoft antivirus support, I ran Spy Sweeper (www.webroot.com) and so far it looks like it may have gotten rid of the source file(s) for Winfixer.
