Word takes 20+ minutes to load

Okay, I'm at my wits end here. I'm an english major and so do quite a bit of writing on my computer. The problem, however, is that Word takes over twenty minutes to load. I've got Office 2003 Professional. I've tried repairing the installation, I've run the Diagnostics tool that comes with Office, I even went online and downloaded the beta version of Office 12 to see if maybe that would help. It didn't. Word is the only Office program that takes this long to load, which is really strange and bothersome, as it is the only program that I use frequently. Any help would be, of course, greatly appreciated.
