hi so here is my problem...

i get this computer in as a job to fix and make it capable of surfing the web... my coustmer is discusted of Mozilla i do not know why, but i love it :-)

so i commence cleaning useing smithrem adware ewido etc.. in safe mode with all updates...

the pc also has all updates from windows so i get back in to the xp desktop and select Internet Explorer (IE)
and Bam it freezes...

so i ctrl+alt+del and for some reason in the Apps. tab it is opened twice... so i take off the home page and set it to about:blank and open it again... hey it works only 1 IE opened this time... so i type in www.google.com and Bam freezes again... so i ctrl+alt+del and it is opened twice again... so i check for req.dat... its not there in regedit... and i reinstalled IE twice... nothing...

i still have the same problem...
