Cannot get onto internet at all! Wininet.dll not found

Please help. Tried to download Norton Antivirus - errored out. Now I get the message that Wininet.dll not found and cannot connect to the internet at all. At a friends right now. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks - Michelle

Hi and welcome to Geeks to Go. A search at M$ http://support.micro...?qu=Wininet.dll has multiple hits. Perhaps the answer is there. Also, google search for wininet.dll has lots of hits.
