AIM keeps closing

When I have an away message on AIM, if someone leaves me a message when I click to open it AIM says it has encountered an error and has to close. I uninstalled it but the fresh install does the same. I also can't talk with my away message on. When I click to IM someone with my away message on nothing happens. Please help. :tazz:
