My keybord is hanging

A few days ago when i was writing an e-mail my keyboard and mouse hung on me, it then went to blue screen and a countdown timer appeared in the bottom right hand corner giving me 30 seconds. I have tried to reboot and it says

keyboard error or no keyboard present
keyboard is locked out - ulock the key
cmos checksum error - defaults loaded

And there is no power running thorugh my keyboard

Hi. Press and hold the power button on the front of the computer until the system shuts down. Then check and verify your mouse and keyboard cable connections. Then re-boot,
