hi,

im trying to connect 3 laptops to broadband.

I have bought a 3Com router modem and have subscribed to plusnet adsl. The hardware is installed correctly and the broadband connect is active. If i wire a laptop to the router it works fine and i can acces the internet. If i add a wireless car and try and connect it can see the network but will not connect to it.

After a lot of trying i tried to use the wireless card supplied by 3com, this connected to the network first time. Surely i dont have to use a 3com branded card on every machine. The other cards i am trying to use have worked on other wireless networks.

Any suggestions would be great

thanks

Possibly you need to set your router to allow Ad-hoc network
