hi,i hope i post this in the correct place, if not pls excuse me


I am living in university campus and im using the univeristy network to connect to the internet. i have noticed though, that i cannot use any P2P software(like Sopcast etc) and moreover cannot connect to online chatrooms.I never had this problem before, when i was using my home internet connection.

Could u help plz?i appreciate ur help in advance.

it's not uncommon for universities to block p2p programs and ban certain sites. if this is the case then they have implemented a firewall and there's not much you can do to get around it.
