Hi there peoples!
Can anyone tell me what 'GENERIC HOST PROCESS FOR WIN32 SERVICES' is pwetty please
I just want to know if its meant to be on my computer and what it is?
I have had so many probs with my computer lately its driving me up the wall and now when i see something i don't recognise i think its bad,so help me please!!

Let me first welcome you to G2G. Glad to have you here.

I'm also confused, you posted in a Win98/me sub-forum but your info says WinXP

Definition is HERE

It CAN be a valid windows file but it also one commonly 'spoofed' by worms/virii also....

If you are unsure and are having problems read HERE and follow directions for posting a HJT log
Id recommend you do so as you say you been having problems

I have had so many probs with my computer lately its driving me up the wall....


Just follow direction at above link and someone will get you straightened out/cleaned up if needed
